This paper discusses accuracy of the stochastic stress analysis of composites considering geometrical random variation of inclusions by using the mesh superposition method. In a stochastic stress analysis such as the Monte Carlo simulation, it is necessary to generate many meshes for each realization. From this viewpoint, use of the mesh superposition method is attracting for the analysis to improve the mesh generating process. The mesh super position method allows the coupling of two different mesh domains and this makes it easy to generate finite element model even if the internal structure is complex. On the other hand, in using the mesh superposition method, inaccuracies may occur in the computational result depending on the mesh overlap condition. Therefore, applicability of the mesh superposition based approach to the analysis is investigated.
