The relationship between wetting behavior and surface status of SUS304 was investigated before and after corrosion in 3.5%NaCl aqueous solution. The wetting behavior was observed by atomic force microscope dynamic mode. Anode and cathode distribution measurement was carried out by scanning vibrate electrode. The element status on surface was detected by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results show that the wetting behavior of SUS304 becomes severe after corrosion in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution. This is considered to be corresponding to the surface status.
