In recent years, because of research and development, installing systems or devices which decrease damage to structures caused by earthquakes, have become wide-spread. In these studies, the system of adding damping devices to structures has come into wide use for reasons of easy installation and relatively low cost compared with other systems. Low cost and low maintenance dampers are needed for detached houses. In this study, we verified a formula that was developed in an earlier study by using it to test small size dampers. We also verified the effectiveness of the dampers by vibration analyzing of a 2 story house, which had our dampers installed.
