Abstract
Door closing sound of a car is one of the important things as a factor which affects the quality of vehicles greatly and raises the charm of a car. Therefore, it has been studied for many years. In this paper, it is characterized by narrowing down the factor expressing door closing sound by using the Semantic Differential Technique and factor analysis. Furthermore, equations which can presume the psychological quality of door closing sound with the objective parameters are drawn by multiple linear regression analysis. Moreover, it is shown by relating the factor to the hedonic scale of test subjects that door closing sound for which the user is asking can be expressed in two-dimensional sound quality space by using the pair comparison method.
