Abstract
We proposed the floor isolation system for computer equipment in buildings. The floor isolation system is composed of two elements of bearing and restoration. The restoration is used coiled springs with elasto-plastic restoring force characteristic. This paper presents the results obtained from theoretical analyses to evaluate the isolation performance of the floor isolation system. As results of analyses, the floor isolation system could not only reduce response acceleration of the floor but also the response displacement of the floor. Therefore, this floor isolation system was confirmed to have good isolation performance suitable for a floor.
