The purpose of this study is to make clear that the shape of structure influence on vibration energy. The vibration energy flow is expressed by the structural intensity. In this paper, we use a plate, which the thickness of the plate is changed at the local area of the plate. The plate is analyzed by finite element method (FEM). The structural intensity is analyzed by finite difference method (FDM). Then, we investigate that the changed thickness of the plate influence on the structural intensity. As a result, it is found that the structural intensity is one of the effective parameter to evaluate the thickness of the various structures.
