This paper deals with reduction of response acceleration and horizontal relative displacement by using a frictional force for a seismic isolator. In this research, the seismic isolator that used the compression spring was prosposed. As a result of conducting the analysis and the experiment to this model, it was shown that response acceleration and relative displacement are reduced to some extent. In order to reduce them more, analysis was carried out in the condition to which a coefficient of friction is changed by relative displacement. As a result, response acceleration and relative displacement were reduced effectively. However, it is difficult to change the coefficient of friction actually. Then, by changing the angle of a friction side, frictional force is changed and the experiment is conducted.
