This paper deals with strength design and dynamic analysis of a machine structure by 3D Computer Aided Design (3DCAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). The worm gear speed reducer for research might cause oil leak, in the case of the use of large load fluctuation. The purpose of this research is to consider the cause and proposed measures of the oil leak. As one of the causes, it is thought that the thrust power of a worm causes the oil leak. So, in this experiment, displacement of bearing cover by the thrust power of a worm is measured. The validity of analysis is shown by comparison of experimental result and analysis result. The bearing cover that reduces displacement is calculated by 3DCAD and CAE.
