Abstract
Collision mitigation brake (CMB) is a part of the active safety technology which intended to mitigate the damage in vehicle collision. In this study, we simulated rear-end collision accident by using vehicle motion simulation in order to estimate the effect of collision mitigation brake. And we also investigated the influences of vehicle velocity and radius of curved road and brake timing that affects amount of collision speed reduction by CMB. In addition, the revision of the radar angle of CMB was examined to improve the effect of CMB on curved road.
