Abstract
In this study, a three-dimensional micro vibration stage is developed. This device is vibrated by piezoelectric element. It is able to mount a 19mm culture dish and performs three-dimensional vibration up to around 30 μm in each direction. Experimental studies have been carried out by using Normal Human Osteoblast (NHOst) which is sensitive to external mechanical stimuli. In order to evaluate the effect of dynamic stimulation upon cultured cells, projected area, slenderness ratio and the anti-aging effect are defined. The studies have shown that the vibration stimulation affects cell morphology.
