Dielectric elastomers among polymer actuators have good responsiveness and are suitable for vibration-based applications such as haptic devices. For vibration applications of such dielectric elastomer actuators, it is crucial to evaluate the viscoelastic properties of the device. This paper considers a method for characterizing the viscoelastic properties of dielectric elastomer actuators from forced vibration [Takagi et al., Actuators, 2021], based on the concept of vibration models and analyses, which are often used in vibration engineering.
