Abstract
The vibration behavior of spherical shell that is in contact water is studied using two methods. One is virtual fluid mass analysis and the other is coupled acoustic analysis. There is no significant difference in the result of these two methods. So, from practical view, virtual fluid mass analysis has advantage. The natural mode of spherical shell containing fluid is found to be different from the one in the air and the natural frequency drops dramatically due to added mass effect. This phenomenon is to be examined by performing an experiment.
