Abstract
Function of an artifact and human Kansei are influenced by diverse conditions. First, this study shows the necessity of consideration of diverse conditions in design. Second, this study summarizes conditions of several areas of study and shows condition in design does not have viewpoint of conditions. Finally, In this study, experiments for beauty in the presence of a cast shadow or its position as a cognitive condition are conducted, and the relationship between evaluations and physical quantities is analyzed. In consequence, beauty is a variant of the presence of a shadow or its position and it is represented by the distance between the center of gravity of the sample and the shadow.
