A welding support system has been developed, in which case data composed of welding beads image, welding condition and results is defined in XML. When welding bead image case data is not satisfactory, supplementary comments such as the causes of the results and advices to improve the quality are provided. The system was evaluated by twenty welders and two third of them judged the system as useful.
