Japan is experiencing an extremely low birthrate and aging population, and it is expected that the number of bicycle accidents involving the elderly will increase in the future. There are cases where elderly people cause accidents while riding bicycles due to misidentification. Therefore, there is a need for a system to reduce the number of bicycle accidents caused by the elderly. This study investigates the development of a duct fan-based assist system to support the elderly in bicycle riding and reduce the number of accidents.
