In this study, a level-set based topology optimization analysis is performed for a bilinear elasto-plastic structural model, and the numerical results is compared with the topology optimization analysis results for an elastic structural model. The performance function is defined by the strain energy, and the governing equation for bilinear elastoplastic deformation is introduced as the constraint condition of the performance function. The finite element method using iso-parametric elements is applied to the structural analysis, and the reaction-diffusion equation is employed to update the structural shape in the topology optimization analysis. In the result of the topology optimization analysis for bilinear elasto-plastic structural model, it was confirmed that the support members are generated around the support boundary.
