Abstract
Taipei 101 opened on January 1, this year. This building is 508 m high, and it is the highest building in the world. In Taipei 101, there are 2 elevators which can travel 1010 m in a minute, and they are also the fastest elevators in the world. To this elevator, many new technologies are appllied, such as an atmospheric-pressure-control-system and active-mass-damper. So far, we could not verify the elevator system by our facilities, we have carried out our development based on the numerical simulation mainly. In starting the system at the site, we completed data measurement in the first time, we report the performance of these items.
