Abstract
In case a source of noise is at outside of a room such as an elevator cage, the inside noise level is influenced by the transmission loss of the wall or wall panels. So, we can improve the noise in an elevator cage through raising the transmission loss of the car panels. In order to provide a way to evaluate and improve the transmission loss of current elevator cage, we have to predict the transmission loss of an elevator cage depending on the structure of the elevator cage. In this study we examined the predictive method of the transmission loss for any elevator cage based on the theory of transmission loss and a lot of test results.
