Ejector refrigeration cycle could provide cooling by using low-grade thermal energy resources such as solar thermal energy at around 60 ℃ with small consumption of electricity. The ejector is a key component in this cycle. We are developing a refigeration cycle having about 3 kW cooling capacity as a domestic system. The refrigerant, R-134a, in evaporator of refrigeration cycle is depressurized by an ejector instead of a mechanical device. In order to develop a reasonably higher performance system, the configuration of ejector is being analyzed by a combination approach of computation fluid dynamics, CFD, and experimental testing. Three ejectors having different configuration parameters of the nozzle exit position and space or mixing section length and cross-sectional area, are developed and tested the performance. Those three different ejectors show an interested limit of the performance.
