Abstract
In order to study separated shear layers behind bodies, vorticitiy distributions are obtained at various phase in one cycle of flow evolution by flow measurements using phase ensemble averaging technique. In this technique, high frequency noise in velocity signal gives wrong zero crossing points to cause deformation in ensemble averaged results. Therfore in this report, a couple of smoothing methods of velocity signal is described.
