Abstract
This paper presents the optimization of the Chebyshev-Dyad linkage connected to a single blade wind turbine (NACA0012) in order to generate high torque. New type of wind turbine which swings in a unique trajectory path as figure eight is proposed. The numeric synthesis model is developed to optimize the different link parameters. The resultant of lift and drag forces developed in the wind blade is transferred to the rotating shaft by a link mechanism. These forces were assimilated in every node of the path to maximize the force to upgrade the characteristic performance. This slow type flap turbine is basically proposed in urban areas to install on top of the buildings as an alternative energy resource.
