The precooling sequence of the LOX/Ethanol gas generator (GG) developed at the Muroran Institute of Technology is discussed in this paper. Precooling of the feed line was carried out at a low flow rate using liquid oxygen filled in the run tank after it was confirmed that the pre-cooling vent line temperature had decreased to the saturation temperature. It is required to have a large sub-cool margin to realize a liquid phase flow. When opening the main valve, we had a gas-phase oxygen flow for 0.6-1.0 sec after 10 seconds period from the end of pre-cooling. Based on this observation fact, we can have a precise ignition timing.
