This paper deals with purification of exhaust emission gas in a two-stroke cycle engine by thermal reactor and catalyzer. Usual two-stroke engines have the advantage of high power-ratio and low price. But their engines have being drived into an awkward position by severe exhaust emission regulation. The three way catalyzer is too effective to purge emission gases in two-stroke engine, but thermal load of catalyzer is more serious for reaction of short circuit fuel at scavenging process. Therefore it was considered that thermal load of the catalyzer will be reduced by setting thermal reactor made with catalyzer element front the three way catalyzer. As a result, thermal loads of the thermal reactor and catalyzer were almost equal and permissible limits.
