Abstract
In the deformation analysis of the circular plate subjected to pressure, the fundamental differential equation system is derived by applying a finite deformation theory. We formulate the finite element formulation from the fundamental equation by applying the weighted residual method. By numerical calculation, the differences between the plate solution based on the linear theory and the present solution are shown. Furthermore, it is also shown that the present solution approaches the membrane solution along with the incrementation of pressure.
