It is difficult to provide an exact quantity for supplying a small amount of liquid in a dispenser system. The reason is a fraction of liquid adhered at its outlet and remained in the system at a moment of discharge from the supplier. A new supply method is developed: Small amount of liquid is accumulated in a small diameter tube by a capillary motion and a compressed air is applied to the tube and discharge all of the accumulated liquid. The purpose of this study is to experimentally examine the discharge characteristics of a liquid droplet from a small diameter tube using distilled water and ethanol as the working fluid. The result shows that a mist flow follows a discharged droplet and some fraction of the accumulated liquid remains on the outer surface of the tube.
