In this work, the green tape laser sintering(GTLS)method has been proposed as a promising recycling technology for scrap iron, and its feasibility of producing a high-quality laminated object has been investigated. The use of gas-atomized Fe-Cu powder allows us to produce homogeneous porous structure, whereas the use of the green tape formed by mask printing makes fracture strength of the single-layered object increase. Optimum parameters for GTLS were identified:an average power of 10W(4.5ms in pulse width, 180V in voltage, and 80Hz in pulse frequency)for single layering, and 13W(2.0ms, 199V, and 80Hz)for multi layering.
