The study is aiming to develop a micron scale transparent conductive layer to adsorb effectively infrared light on a fluorine-doped tin-oxide (FTO) substrate for solar cell application. The fine dispersion of tin dioxide (SnO_2) particle in ethanol/water (1/1 v/v) is directly deposited onto the FTO substrate to prepare hierarchically structured SnO_2 spheres by using electrostatic spray technique. In this study, micro-scale SnO_2 particles association of nanoparticles with about 2 μm diameters were formed on the FTO substrate under applied voltage of 15 kV.
