In this study, the structural change and hydrogenation property of NdNi3 was investigated. NdNi_3 was prepared by arc melting in argon atmosphere, annealed between 973 K 〜 1273 K (10 h). The structural parameters were refined by Rietveld refinement. Hydrogenation property was measured by P-C (Pressure-Composition) isotherm. The NdNi3 with PuNi_3-type structure was successfully synthesized when it was annealed at 1073 K. The refined lattice parameters were a = 0.5028 (1) ran and c = 2.47 (5) nm. The maximum hydrogen capacity of first absorption reached 1.1 H/M. After the first full desorption, 0.7 H/M of hydrogen remained in the sample. The XRD profile after P-C isotherm was clearly different from the before hydrogenation.
