Understanding of the transition region and turbulent region is very important to analyze the detailed mechanisms of the flow phenomenon and heat transfer of natural convection along a vertical flat plate. In this study, the turbulent transport of natural convection along a vertical flat plate with constant heat flux was investigated experimentally. Visualization of two-dimensional temperature field is conducted using infrared thermography in the transition and turbulent region. It is obvious from the spectrum analysis and the statistical processing that the characteristic behavior of natural convection plays an important role on the transport mechanism.
