This study is related to the driving skill evaluation program to solve recent problem regarding traffic accident increase for elderly drivers. Now a day, some traffic violations such as ignoring traffic light at signalized intersection, driving in the wrong direction and so on are extracted and 18 violations are defined for the purpose to checking drivers’ judgment and cognitive ability by Metropolitan Police Department. However, such traffic violations may directly lead to traffic accident before unsafe driving behavior becomes apparent. In this report, the concept of driving skill evaluation algorithms detecting drivers’ unsafe action related to traffic violations is proposed. After detecting and counting such actions, drivers can observe their driving safety and their driving skill objectively.
