Abstract
In the past, Integrated Manufacturing System has been implemented with Network. With an availability of EtherNet/IP, Integrated Manufacturing System has been tremendously advanced by providing high-speed data transaction, support huge number of nodes, multi-tasking operations with one physical media. On the other hand, Safety Function has been performed with stand-alone hard-wired solution for long term. In the past 10 years, Safety PLC and Safety Network have been developed, but they were not integrated between Standard Control and Safety Control because Safety network has been dedicated for Safety only. Now with EtherNet/IP Safety, one network can be utilized for both Standard Control and Safety Control. This paper gives you a study to implement Integrated Manufacturing System that integrates Standard Control and Safety Control for Semi-conductor applications.
