The CE marking is commonly recognized as a procedure for putting products into the European market. The basis of the CE marking is the European legislations such as the Machinery Directive. The Blue Guide is one of the official guideline to implement this procedure. However, the guideline is updated frequently – almost yearly. Especially the conformity assessment is one of the important activity. This activity is expressed as the modular structure which is applied for the design phase and the production phase. In case that the product is safety critical, the module B is usually the procedure to be applied, and this requires to involve the Notified Body for issuing the EU Type Examination. The practical assessment is performed in accordance with the legislation harmonized standards (EN standards), and this makes the presumption of conformity to the relevant legislations.
