Abstract
An automatic electric power generator that utilizes self excited rotation has been investigated as a power supply for information devices. By the approximate analysis with the dynamic model and the numerical simulation, we confirmed the conditions when the self-exited rotation takes place. In order to create self excited rotation, we suggest a system that increases the angular speed. When revving up, the motor is used as an actuator rather than a generator. The experimental results show that generating capacity increases from 10μW to 380μW by the system. The input voltage and time was optimized to reduce energy loss. We propose a system that revs up the rotational plummet till self-excited rotation occurs in order to lessen the influence of the initial plummet position and angular speed.
