This paper describes several examples illustrating the usage of synthetic jets activated by a signal representing the flow response to eliminate flow-excited oscillations. These include impinging flow oscillations, flow-excited acoustic resonances, vortex-induced lock-in vibration and turbulent buffeting vibration. In all applications, an acoustically induced synthetic jet is strategically placed such that its effect is imparted to the flow near or at the location of flow separation.
