In this paper, we treat a posture determination problem of an adaptive structure. As there are many elements to be treated at the same time in an optimum posture determination of an adaptive truss structure composed of some truss modules with variable length member especially when not only the direction of the load but also the position of the load is constrained, it is difficult to solve it with a mathematical programming method. So in this study, we consider the problem that detemines an optimum posture of an adaptive truss structure taking acount of buckling by using Immune Algorithms (IA) which is one of the information systems based on a living being's information processing.
