This paper evaluates the accuracy of particle displacement measurement by means of digital holography. The position of each particle on a hologram plane is measured by detecting the centroid of the corresponding image on the reconstructed image at the mid-plane of measuring region. Particle depth detection is carried out by calculating the light intensity at the centroid of each particle over the whole range from observed in-line hologram patterns. In this paper, hologram patterns are made by numerical simulation and a uniform flow to depth-direction is used as a flow model. It is shown that the RMS error in 2.0mm-displacement is 0.21mm for the range from 200 to 225.6mm.
