A new approximated expression for non-isobaric unidirectional gas transfer caused by molecular diffusion, viscous and Knudsen flow has been formulated. The new approximated expression is a combination of the unidirectional isobaric diffusion equation within free space and the Darcy flow equation. The equations were derived from strict equations for one-dimensional binary component isothermal gas transfer within porous media that was modeled by the parallel pore model. It was shown that the calculation results, calculated by strict equations and by approximated equations, were in agreement. In addition, the temperature and pressure, at the inner evaporative surface of the porous material during drying in hot humid air, were predicted by the new approximated expression, and the effect of air humidity on material temperature was investigated.
