抄録

Internet brought us drastic drop in information cost and physical distribution cost, over last decades. This trend forced companies to go for global competitions, in an abrupt manner. In order to survive, and play this global competition, companies' R&D style must change. In this paper, I described OMRON's R&D strategy, and practices. Based on those practices, there are 3 important factors to manage properly. Those 3 factors are: resource management to have necessary diversity, innovative culture, and self-learning organization.
