Examination into Heat Sink with Thin Fins Cast by Die Casting Using Al-25%Si Alloy and Survey This Heat Radiation

Abstract

A heat sink model with thin fin which tip thickness was 0.5 mm, drat angle was 0.5 degree, height was 50 mm, could be cast at plunger speed slower than 2.0 m/s by the Al-25%Si. Heat radiation was not influenced by fin-thickness. Therefore, thin fin was useful to reduce the weight of the heat sink.
