Si Distribution on Surface of Thin Walled Die casting by Using Al-25%Si Alloy

Abstract

In this study, has carried out a survey on primary Si distribution on surface of thin walled die casting by using Al-25%Si alloy. Primary Si layer is on the surface in the vicinity of gate. Phosphorous addition to Al-25%Si alloy resulted in a decrease in primary Si layer thickness.
