Liquid crystal / polymer blended film was made for the purpose of active friction control. This blended film was made with evaporating only the solvent from solution melting liquid crystal and polymer. The liquid crystal domain size of the blended film (Liquid crystal density : 60wt%) was formed with almost even size (3μm), and it arrays at the regular interval (5μm). The friction characteristic of blended film was measured. In this result, friction-induced vibration was observed in only nematic phase liquid crystal.
