This paper shows the experimental results in regard to the influence of the velocity for sliding friction under a micro load. We measured friction force and pull-off force with changing of relative velocity by using AFM (atomic force microscope) under the micro load. Result is following : first, pull-off force increased with pull-off velocity and became gradually constant. Second, friction force increased with sliding velocity and became gradually constant. Furthermore, we explain the results with the meniscus force acts on the minute openings of two surfaces.
