The structural modification prediction is very useful based on FRF. But in case of micro devices, the conventional exciter gives additional constraint and mass loading. First using MEMS like structure, the alternative displacement input can not predict properly is confirmed numerically and experimentally. Then a new micro exciter is so developed as to apply successfully to DVD pickup.
