The development of the low cost actuator as a variable damper is desired for further development of the base isolated structure. To improve seismic isolation performance, base isolation of buildings realized fair reduction of seismic response. But there is the limit of the damping using passive control. Meanwhile, the supersonic technologies using the supersonic vibration such as supersonic wave motor are actively used. Authors had presented a novelle variable friction damper that changes the coefficient of friction of starting impressing the supersonic vibration to contact side. In this paper, the verification experiment of the presented damper is carried out
