This paper describes how we, the Kochi University of Technology, educate product design and development using 3D-CAD, CAE, and Rapid Prototyping. In 2003, we were nominated to proceed the MOT project from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industries. We planned the content and program for the project, Internet Product Development Education Project. We prepared the syllabus and contents of projects, and we proceeded the education. The teaching materials contain the ones for CAD/CAM/CAE, analysis, and rapid prototyping. The actual projects of design and manufacturing were tried to perform. However, due to the time shortness, the projects were not able to accomplish during the aimed quarter. The projects, however, continued after the MOT project.
