In this report, "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" designated by JSME in 2008 and its significance on the history of technology will be explained. Contents of this report are as follows. 1) Outline of the "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" designated by the JSME in 2008. 2) Explanation of the "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" of Kanto District which designated in 2008. 3) Significance of the history of mechanical technology on the heritage.
