Today, cleaning techniques with low environmental load are required. In the present study cleaning technique with microbubbles is proposed. Venturi-type microbubble generator is applied as cleaning nozzle from which the bubbly flow is ejected on the cleaned surface as a jet. The objective of the present study is to clarify the practical performance of the proposed cleaning technique. Sauter mean diameter of the generated bubbles and pressure on the cleaned surface are measured with variation of the liquid flow rate and the gas flow ratio. In the case of high liquid flow rate, microbubbles with Sauter mean diameter of 0.14 mm were generated drastically. Pressure fluctuation became large when microbubbles were contained.
