It is important for seismic disaster prevention not to turn over the small structure installed inside the building. A small device for reduction of seismic response of mechanical system is developed using friction bearing. To estimate the amplitude characteristics of seismic response of this devise, vibration test was done using artificial seismic waves. In acceleration, maximum amplitude values decrease about 20-40 %. Also amplitude values of root mean square are about 10-30 % decrease. In displacement, as maximum amplitude values decrease about 10-40% in same cases, but there are some amplified cases.
