Abstract
From the viewpoint of environment, HCCI (Homogeneous charge compression ignition) engine is very attractive. HCCI engine has both gasoline and diesel characteristics, therefore the engine can possible to perform the low emission and high efficiency. This study described the reduction of hazardous substance in exhaust gas of HCCI engine by simulation using CHEMKIN. From this study, H_2O addition can reduce maximum NO fraction and O_2 addition is effect measure to decrease in maximum CO fraction. The above explains maximum NO fraction and maximum CO fraction can be cut down at once. The best condition to decrease in maximum NO fraction and maximum CO fraction is H_2O+10.9% and O_2+5% from reactant species in this study conditions.
