In this paper, we examined the friction properties of the nanostripe structures consisted of soft and hard metals under dry condition. The nanostripe structure consists of Ag as soft metal and Cr as hard metal. We measured the friction force between Ag-Cr nanostripe structure and six counterparts (Mo, Ni, Ti, Al_2O_3, SUJ2, Si_3N_4) using a reciprocating friction tester. Nanostripe structure that had 1:1 ratio of Ag and Cr showed friction coefficient of 0.5 or more in the air. When nanostripe structure that had 1:1 ratio of Ag and Cr rubbed in a vacuum of 2×10^<-4> Pa, the friction coefficient showed between 0.2 and 0.4. The friction coefficient of 0.2 was measured for 1:9 ratio of Ag and Cr.
